On Christmas Eve we had Christmas with Paul's family. As soon as Paul got off work we went over to his sister Beth's home in Brentwood and the festivities began. Saralyn had fun playing with her 3 older cousins; Amber, Baylee and Catrina. As a Yambor family tradition, Paul's mom and dad bring a sandwich tray and fixin's and homemade cookies galore made by Ruth, Paul's mom. Everyone enjoys sandwiches of their choice and family time together.
After our Christmas with the Yambor's we began our family tradition of attending a candle light service to prepare our hearts and reflect on the true meaning for the season. This year we attended the 11 p.m. service at Christ Church on Old Hickory in Nashville. It was a beautiful service and it was great to see some long time friends from the past. Grandmother (my mom) arrived into town around 7:30 and was able to attend the service with us. When I was in high school, this was 0ur home church for many years and my mom sang in the choir.
