More from Christmas

Saralyn recieved the Elmo live doll from Aunt Marcie and Uncle Billy. She loves to stick her fingers in his mouth while he is talking and enjoys dancing with him. She also received the ball activity toy shown in the first picture. Air moves the balls around inside the little track. It's fun to grab the balls in motion. The other day I saw Saralyn putting daddy's shaker in the track and was trying to figure out why it wouldn't go 'round and 'round like the balls.

Christmas Morning - Saralyn's First Christmas

It was a late morning for us since we had Saralyn out so late at the candle light service Christmas Eve. We woke up around 9 and Saralyn had her cereal. I made Christmas breakfast: scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, biscuits and fresh fruit. After breakfast we helped Saralyn open her presents. She had the best time with the tissue paper from the gift bags. She would squeal with excitement and shake the tissue paper in her hands and walk around. Oh, did I mention Saralyn is now walking? She began 'practicing' the week before Christmas taking 3-4 steps without holding on to anything. And now she is taking off everywhere. We've officially entered into 'toddler'hood'.

Christmas Eve, Yambor Christmas

On Christmas Eve we had Christmas with Paul's family. As soon as Paul got off work we went over to his sister Beth's home in Brentwood and the festivities began. Saralyn had fun playing with her 3 older cousins; Amber, Baylee and Catrina. As a Yambor family tradition, Paul's mom and dad bring a sandwich tray and fixin's and homemade cookies galore made by Ruth, Paul's mom. Everyone enjoys sandwiches of their choice and family time together.
After our Christmas with the Yambor's we began our family tradition of attending a candle light service to prepare our hearts and reflect on the true meaning for the season. This year we attended the 11 p.m. service at Christ Church on Old Hickory in Nashville. It was a beautiful service and it was great to see some long time friends from the past. Grandmother (my mom) arrived into town around 7:30 and was able to attend the service with us. When I was in high school, this was 0ur home church for many years and my mom sang in the choir.

Christmas Parade Dec 14th

What a big day we had. We took Saralyn to see her first parade on the square in Murfreesboro. She didn't miss a beat. It was like she was watching a tennis match following the sirens, bands, floats and cars go by. After the parade we went to Belk for pictures with Santa. Saralyn is such a charmer, she just sat on his lap like no big deal. Here I am, take my picture. We topped off the day with the Christmas program at our church. We kept Saralyn with us instead of putting her in the nursery and she loved the music and watching all the people.

Dec. 20th, Christmas with Granddad and T

On Saturday, Dec 20th we celebrated Christmas with my dad, TJ and extended family. Saralyn had a big time. She loves watching Granddad's train go round and round on the tracks. He has a wooded train and we were able to get some great pictures of Saralyn and cousin's in and one th train.
